We recently had a Florida company accepted into the H-2B Visa Program for the first time. The H-2B visa program allowed the company to bring temporary workers to the United States on H-2B visas to work during its 10 months peakload season.
The H-2B visa program is designed to help U.S. employers that encounter difficulties hiring due to shortages of U.S. workers that are willing and able to perform nonagricultural work. The program is available only to nonagricultural workers from countries that participate in the H-2B visa program. There are 66,000 H-2B visas available each year and the U.S. company that is interested in using the program to temporarily fill positions must obtain a labor certification from the U.S. Department of Labor within a regulatory timeframe. However, a company can also submit an emergency filing. To learn more about the requirements for the program visit our H-2B visa requirements page.
The H-2B visa program is complex and contains many intricacies. Our experienced business immigration lawyers in Miami, Florida USA assist companies with applying for the H-2B visa program. Contact our H-2B visa lawyers to schedule an appointment today or book your consultation.
