We recently had an E-2 Investor Visa Approved for an RV Manufacturer. The Investor was granted the E-2 Visa for 5 years, the maximum period allowed under their treaty. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the closures at the U.S. Embassy, the processing time to schedule an interview was 8 months. However, recently, the U.S. Embassies have started processing E2 visa interviews and based on local conditions the processing times may vary with some Embassies having resumed E2 visa processing to regular processing times.
The E-2 Treaty Investor Visa is a U.S. nonimmigrant visa designed for individuals who make an investment in a commercial enterprise in the United States. The E-2 Investor Visa allows a national of a treaty country to temporary come to the United States together with their spouses and children to live and work. E-2 Investor Visa allows the Investor or Entrepreneurs and their spouse and children to travel outside of the United States and re-enter.
