H-2B Filing for October 1, 2025 Start Date Opens July 3-5
The Office of Foreign Labor Certification (OFLC) announced that the three-day filing window for H-2B Temporary Employment Certification applications (Form ETA-9142B) with a work start date of October 1, 2025, begins July 3, 2025.
Key Details:
If you’re a US employer looking to bring in workers from outside the U.S. on an H-2B visa for an October 1, 2025 start date (the start of the first half of FY26’s H-2B visa allotment), this is your earliest and designated opportunity to file. Be aware that applications filed before July 3, 2025 will be rejected.
After the H-2B registration window closes, OFLC will randomize all applications received during this period (July 3-5, 2025) for processing. For work start dates of October 2, 2025, or later, please follow the standard timeliness requirements at 20 CFR 655.15(b).
