The Romanian-American Chamber of Commerce (RACC™) in Miami, Miami-Dade County Office of Economic Development & International Trade (OEDIT) and Smart Start USA bring 25 Romanian businesses to South Florida
MIAMI, Dec. 19, 2018 /PRNewswire/ — On November 29-30, 2018, Ms. Anda Malescu, President of the Romanian-American Chamber of Commerce in Florida and Partner at Malescu Law, in collaboration with OEDIT and Smart Start USA organized a 2-day conference in Miami for a delegation of 25 Romanian businesses. The event attracted Romanian companies from the IT, cybersecurity, renewable energy, manufacturing, engineering, finance and construction industries. In addition, local company representatives seeking to explore business opportunities with Romania, Europe’sfastest growing economy, were also present.
The business community in Miami had the opportunity to learn about the works of the Romanian-American Chamber of Commerce from Ms. Anda Malescu, President of the local chamber and Partner at Malescu Law, and about the business environment in Romania from Harry-Ilan Laufer, former Minister for Business, Commerce and Entrepreneurship of Romania. Present at the event was also Mr. Catalin Ghenea, Consul General of Romania in Miami.
The agenda included site visits to the Cyber Security Center of the Americas, Miami International Airport and Port of Miami, and discussions with Miami-Dade County Office of Economic Development and International Trade, Downtown Development Authority, Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce, Greater Miami Convention and Visitors Bureau, Beacon Council and Enterprise Florida.
The Romanian-American Chamber of Commerce in Florida is a bilateral trade association dedicated to promoting trade and investment between Romania and the United States.
